I’m struggling again
General, Getting back on track June 19th, 2008I guess it was the +4 pounds on the scale that did me in. I’m struggling again, not very motivated, not doing a very good job, not tracking…
I also need to come up with a plan for the summer, and nothing seems right to me. I don’t know what I’ll do. I think I’m finally going to get back to exercising, it really made me feel better about myself when I did it, and I feel like a huge slug now NOT doing any. But need to figure out what and how.
I’m taking this week as a pause week to figure out how to proceed for the next few months - promise I’ll have a plan in place on Monday.
I have some personal circumstances that are complicating things right now, adding stress and probably a few pounds on the scale, so I’m also trying to be gentle with myself and forgiving of the number on the scale. Keeping it low-stress is a key, but I also need to be able to keep my weight from increasing, and I’d REALLY like to get back down under 200 by the end of the summer at least.

strange. i’ve gained 4 lbs in a week, too. i’ve eaten like a piggy for a couple of days. but i’ve been working out like a horse. i think i’m gonna do a semi-fast for the next few days, maybe 1200 calories? and drink lots of water. good luck coming up with your plan. let me know what you find out. we can do this!

Keep with it Round, sooner or later you’ll find something that will work for you this summer. You are doing great, don’t let 4 pounds throw you completely off track!

Okay, how did you and I end up in the EXACT SAME boat? And why couldn’t it be a better boat?

I’m sure you’ll come up with a great plan. Remember this: K.I.S.S Keep it simple silly!!!
I was reading through your plan page and see you have some good ideas which you know from experience work well for you. What do you like to do for activities? I like pushing it hard because I enjoy, believe it or not, actually pushing myself hard. But, it’s not necessary. A good walk and some fresh air gets the heart pumping! I know you wrote you’ve had some back problems, so I hope you set up the perfect plan. One that is flexible enough that you can actually enjoy, be motivated to follow and have pounds and pounds of success with!
Time to pick yourself back up!
I’m here for ya!

I’m not worried, I know you’ll come up with a plan because you know how to do this!
Like you, I’m addicted to roasted vegetables! They are so YUMMY and guilt-free!

Here comes the wagon, Sarah, jump back on! We’ve got plenty of room. We all hit a bump in the road and fall off every now and then but you know how to dust yourself off and climb back on.

*Hugs* for the stress you’re going thru. Hang in there girl. You’ve been doing good. I’m sure you’ll have a killer plan soon. I haven’t been doing so good lately either. Frustrated with the weight not going down fast enough. I haven’t been eating tons of calories although I did eat out twice recently but I was good and got most of it home. I guess it all adds up. I haven’t been pushing myself hard with exercise and I think I have to fix that. Don’t let the 4 lbs scare you and take you Off Plan. Put it aside and hop back on. Good Luck!!!

Hey lady! I’m sending you warm thoughts for your stress. I think it was a good idea to take that day and have a think about how you want to proceed, and also very wise to be gentle with yourself. Second lastly - I love roasted vegetables too….and lastly, I love the quote in your last post. I am going to have to steal it!

Lots of positive vibes coming thru with this msg. Don’t beat yourself up my friend, we all have been there and I am sure we are all going to get there again.
Take your day, doing some reflexing and take a deep breath….one day at a time. Some times one step forward and two back, but one day at a time.
Hard to lose weight when dealing with stress, seems like a vicious cycle.
Hugs

Hang in there and keep trying until you find the formula that works for you. As far as exercise, you can start with walking. What a huge stress relief! Cut the sodas and juices out too. You’ll cut sugar in half big time by that alone. Drink water instead. Sending you ((((HUGS))) and encouragement!
