Up this week…
Plan December 10th, 2007One of the things that’s always been helpful to me while dieting is PLANNING AHEAD. Thinking about the week to come, and thinking through how I’ll deal with the challenges I can identify.
I don’t think this approach is at all opposed to the Low Stress Weight Loss I’m trying to do, so here’s what’s up for the week :
I have a number of local meetings, and will have lunch out 3 or maybe 4 days this week. I also have the Pizza Test to do. Normally pizza test is lunchtime, according to Dr Hope, but we agreed in my case doing it at dinner this week makes more sense. I have 4 nights of pizza ahead of me : Monday - Thursday at least. I might have a dinner meeting on Thursday in which case I’ll have to add a pizza night on Friday. I’m guessing I’ll be pretty sick of pizza by then. Although I’ve often thought that pizza is a great food : mixing carb, veggie and protein…
Other than the pizza test, food goals are to plan healthy snacks I can take with me, as I probably won’t end my days until late.
Exercise will be more challenging - although Tuesday afternoon and Thursday morning should be do-able, and then maybe over the weekend. If I’m lucky maybe Monday night - but maybe not…it’s dark so early and so cold and rainy (ah, there are so many good excuses!).

Prepare yourselves & your points or calorie budgets, because I am hoping to have photos!
I think I’ll never want pizza again after this week, but who knows?

LOL well nothing would keep me from eating pizza - LOVE IT!!! I allow myself my favourite every once in a while - its a 900 calorie hit but usually I can only eat half — so a bit for dinner the rest for lunch.
Thanks for dropping by and I appreciate the encouragement. Maybe I am being hard on myself with the calories but wouldn’t it get boring if I was just perfect every day — ohhh I guess I would lose weight that way LMAO. Anyway I don’t mind having to reset at Day 1 for today — not sure if I will get as high next time with Christmas just around the bend but it will be neat to see how well I do next time. I think 18 days is pretty darn good.

Hi (HermitGirl here) I appreciated your comment about writing down everything. I don’t know how this really would work for me, if the point is to count calories. I virtually cook most everything I eat, except yogurt and peanutbutter , it’s difficutlt to know what the calories are. I am not willing to change my wholefoods cooking , so, as far as programs go, I’m not sure what to do. When you advise me to write what I eat, is taht about counting calories?
