Happy Thanksgiving!

WEll here I am it is November, 2010. Funny,as I look back at all of the posts…what a struggle. Sheesh! I am doing much better. I go to the gym 2-6 times a week, pending my schedule and try to work out on weights 1-3 times per week pending body part. I, also, have worked to add cardio, sometimes at the gym, sometimes at home. Where am I? I would like to lose another 15-20 pounds, although, honestly, I am not sure if my body can handle it. So for now, I will take 10! Happy Thanksgiving to all! and for all of you that kept checking in on me, I appreciate it and it means a lot!

Update and I do mean up…

Well, the official weigh in is in and I am up 4 or was it 5 or something in between pounds..I am sure eating an entire 4 burgers( even though I only had one with bread) the night before the weigh in did not help, but they were yummy…Anyway, I did hit the treadmill and the elliptical for a mile each yesterday and I am off to the gym today with DH to torture me, so I intend to work it back off this week.  It will be a struggle as I am traveling for work and that usuallly equals diet disaster because I can not plan my meals….So wish me luck please, everyone!

Terrific Thursday

Well I am happy to report that I did weights and took the dogs to the dog park and jogged 2 miles with them.  One of my dogs is 11 pds overweight so clearly she is not getting enough exercise and eating too much. She has new diet food which she doesn’t like..LoL poor thing, can’t we all relate?  So this morning, i had the bkfst of champions, black beans, rice and chicken! Yummy, LoL.   Will keep you updated…I put on my pedometer though so I can log my steps, I have to stay on the stick!

I have been a slacker….

Hi everyone! Sorry I have not kept up with my posts…Where I am at on my journey, last week I was traveling for week and celebrating my mom’s 70th bday with food! LoL and lack of exercise, so I did not do my official weigh in but I think I gained a pound.  So this week, I have been trying to work out and eat within my point totals, this week and drinking my water!  Yesterday I stayed within range, did 4 miles on treadmill and walking and did tris and bis with DH. I think I am starting to get pumped a tiny bit..LoL!

Hello world…today was not the healthiest of days..gs cookies( don’t bring any more into the house) chips..super bowl left overs but then I did eat 2 fruits and 2 veges..so not all too shabby! Slacking on the exercise…will get back in it tomorrow..ugh…

Weigh is in!

Hello, all,

The weigh is in and I am down another 1.2 lbs, almost 10 yippee!   You know when I am lifting 10 lb dumbells, that is such strain I am putting on my knees, back and body…I plan to not look back! I hope to have double digits for you total next week.  Happy Sunday go Steelers!

Wow..Did you know about HFC’s?

So I am sitting here reading about a nasty villian that may sabotage your diet as it is more easily turned into fat than any other carb and it shuts off the switches that control the appetite.  It is high fructose corn syrup..one of the places it lurks in..is your low cal dressings..so nice..check it out! I just learned  something! They also boost your triglycerides..and are found in..soft drinks, juice, dandy, bbq sauce,fruit yogurs, cereal….only way to avoid is read the labels and refrain! Wow, who would have known!–Oh I forgot to add that I ran 2 miles with dog at dog park today..they had a blast and I am glad to make them happy like they do me…had oatmeal with blueberries for dinner, double anti-oxidants!  Woohoo, had my Fruities and veges, most of water, but not all…did good today..tomorrow morning is gym and then weight watchers weigh in, wish me luck!

Damn those girl scout cookies!

You know..why oh why did my husband buy them? I know the little girls are cute and all but just donate the money!  Of course, I ate an entire sleeve last night at the tone of 1000 cals…although I did count them! Haha-Yesterday was not a good day..did not exercise, did not drink water consistently, and on an emotional rollercoaster. I will FORCE myself to exercise today and it will be a force…and try to drink my water…

Today was a good day

I made it to the gym did an hour of weights..starting to see some muscle on the arms…woohooie!  Did the elliptical for 25 mins..did over 10,ooo steps and tried the biggest loser meal they showed Tuesday! It was terrific!  For anyone who missed it buy fresh rosemary on the stick, take chicken breast and pound and cube it , put it on the stick , then spray and stick it on George Foreman or whatever grill you have.   Cooks in less than 5 minutes and gives natural flavor, if you like put mustard in pan with a little honey and pour it over the chicken..it was delic! and no pots-always helps…oh do you guys know tip to never clean your GF Grill?  Line it with foil, top and bottom! Totally works…Oh my dr. called today…cholestoral is crazy high which is surprising given how healthy i have been eating ..oh and my thyroid is low again…good thing I am watching what I eat or the thyroid would have made me gain massive weight…again!

Today!

Well fighting health and life but not letting it ruin me…The dogs and I went running in the dog park and managed to squeeze in my fruits and veges at the end of the day  and stay within calorie count.  It was hard but I feel proud of myself…Hoping for a good week!  The spicy v-8 really takes the edge off when I get the cravings and gives a serving of veges so good bang for the buck!
