Ridin’ off into the sunset

Being back on track is paying off. It’s great to see the numbers move down this week. I’m hoping to get to 285 by Valentines day and 265 by the end of March.

I’m still trying to stick with my 3lb/week calorie goals though it’s gotten a bit harder now that I’m under 1800 calories per day. If I eat whole foods with a lot of bulk it works out pretty well but if I eat too many Triscuits or other snacky type foods I find that I run out of calories sooner than I’d like.

Still 1700+ calories is a lot more than some people allot themselves and I know with the right choices I can stick with it. If it becomes unbearable my plan is to adjust my goal to 2.5lbs lost per week but I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

    Congratulations on getting back on track after the holidays!

    My plan is somewhat similar to yours - I track calorie expenditure and intake, aiming for a deficit of 1,000 calories per day for 2 lbs per week. If I’m working out, my calorie “budget” comes out to about 2,100 per day. Like you, I’ve found that it’s plenty if I eat mostly whole foods, but it doesn’t go far with processed or restaurant food.

    You are doing great!
    I am the same way. I have to fill up on bulky salads, raw veggies, raw fruit, and then it makes the other small portions not seem small. Keep up the fantastic job!
