It’s beginning to look a lot LESS like Christmas

I’ve worked a bit the last 2 days getting the decorations packed up for another year.  Yesterday I got everything except for the chrismas trees put away.  This morning I took down the tree in our basement.  Now all that is left is the  tree on our main level.  I’ll probably wait and do that tomorrow or sunday.  The kids usually like to help a little.  Say goodbye to their favorite ornaments for the year!  I was thinking about what I heard said multiple times yesterday at my WW meeting.  So many people said I’m so glad christmas is over!  I think that’s kind of sad.  It has become such a crazy overindulgent time of year.  We need to reclaim christmas from the commercial machine!  The things I remember most about christmas past growing up was being with my entire extended family, and having fun and playing games.  I can’t tell you much else.  It makes the crazy shopping baking and cooking seem insignificant. 

Anyway, my cabinets and fridge look a lot less like christmas also.  I’ve purged them of all the junk/cookies/candy etc.  There are just a few small bags of candy left that were in the kids stockings and I’m not going to touch it!  It’s out of site though, so I won’t be too tempted to sneek any!

I did a 2 mile WATP for abs video this morning.  Plan for the rest of today is to sit down and plan meals through next week.  I eventually want to be able to plan more, but 1 week at a time is all I can handle.  It’s just too much for me to do any more than that.  Baby steps……
