WW Week 6

Went to a WW meeting today.  Did not like what the scale read.  Not really surprised though.  I know I have been snacking way too much on cookies, and going back for seconds when I probably don’t really need too. I just kind of lost focus the past week or so, and it’s caught up with me.  I was +1.6 lbs.  I could try to blame some of it on TOM, but since I know what I’ve been doing foodwise, I won’t.  I need to refocus and get back on track.   Next week I am going to attend a meeting on Wed.  They are closed Tues. for Christmas and only open til 12 Christmas Eve, and I’ll probably be too busy to go then.  I think knowing that I’m going in Wed. morning to weigh in will help me control what I eat on Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

In other events, sort of good news about my van.  The car dealer said that the error reading they were getting meant lean fuel mixture which could be 1 of 2 things.  Bad gas or possibly an O2 sensor.  Since it started after I filled up the other day, they think it may be the bad gas.  They said we could drive it around to run down the tank and refill, and see if it improved, or they could remove the fuel pump, take out the fuel and refill, for around $200.  My dh said he’d run out the gas tank himself!  He called the station where I filled up and they said another guy had called because of the same reason and they told dh he should put some heet or octane booster in the tank.  The dealer said we could try that, it wouldn’t hurt.  It would get rid of any water that might be in the tank.  So, DH put it in before leaving this morning.  He said it didn’t seem to be stuttering as bad, and he stopped at QT for some coffee.  When he came back out, it wouldn’t start……..dead battery!!!!!!  The dealer had told us they recommend putting a new one in as a proactive repair because it tested lower than what they would reccommend.  We new it was getting pretty near to the end of it’s life, and it had been completely dead a couple weeks ago, when the interior lights were left on.  Anyway, dh was able to get a jump and make it into work.  I’m a bit relieved it happened when dh had it out and not me.  I’ve been carrying jumper cables in the back just in case ever since it discharged a couple weeks ago.  So, hopefully, we’ll get a new battery in it, run down the fuel and refill and everything will be OK.

My O2 sensor used to come on in my Plymouth van anytime I didn’t put the gas tank cap on tight enough.

Good idea, planning a weigh-in on the day after Christmas. That will help you remember to choose wisely!
