Slow and steady wins the race

Well, I didn’t think this weight loss thing would be easy. If it was I woudn’t have been fat for all these years. I just keep reminding myself of the tortoise and the hare. Slow and steady wins the race. If I just keep trying, a little bit at a time to make changes to incorporated exercise and healthy eating into my life I will eventually reach my goal………
I did not do a formal workout yesterday. I did spend a few hours cleaning the main floor of the house. First thing this morning I exercised to the Leslie Sanson Walk and Kick. I’m getting a little bored with this dvd, but it a loan from the library so hopefully, the next one I put on hold will be available by the time I take this one back. I thought I’d try tae bo again. I’ve tried it in the past, but have a hard time trying to keep up. I felt like if I couldn’t do it perfectly I might as well quit. I’m better now about not being perfect. I’ll just do what I can at my pace, and work my way up.
Weight is holding steady at 208 this week so far. I think my waist and hips feel different to me though. I need to take measurements so I can see if there are any changes like that. It sure would be encouraging to see some progress if the scale isn’t going to move!
Today I’m going to find the tape measure and write down my measurements! I’m also going to plan some meals through next week, and go to the grocery store.
