I’m creating a new me (again)!

This is my blog to chronicle my journey .  I’m a 35 year old SAHM of 3 kids.  I weigh 210 as of 8/20/2007.   The kids went back to school on Monday and I decided I was going to really commit to creating a new me (again) Hence the “re” in from of “new me”.  I’ve decided many times before to lose weight, but this time I really need to do it.  I am tired of feeling soooo fat.  I know that weight is only part of the problem.  For so  many years I’ve been “mom”.  I have really enjoyed being a mom, but I also feel like I’ve lost touch with who I really am.  I definitely don’t like what I see in the mirror, but I’m also a bit disappointed in who I am overall.  So, as the weight comes off, I hope to also come to terms with who I am overall.  So, I hope to transform myself both physically and spiritually.  I know I cannot be who I truly want to be, the way that I think and feel now.

 1) My long term goal is to lose 55 lbs.  At 1-2 lbs per week.  @1lb. per week, I would reach my goal on Sept. 9, 2008.  @ 2 lbs per week, I would reach my goal on 2/12/2008. 

2)My short term goal is to lose 10 pounds.  I hope to do this by Oct. 20,2007.  That would be 1 lb per week.  I hope it will happen faster, but I don’t want to set an unrealistic goal and then be disappointed if I don’t do it. 

Things I need to do to reach my goals:

1) Eat right.  Eat more nutritiously and in proper portions.

2)Get active. 

It sounds so simle, doesn’t it?  Eat right and exercise!  So why have I been overweight for so long!!!!!

 This week I am concentrating on exercising, drinking water, and trying not to pig out!!  I don’t want to try to do too much at once, and know in the past, I’ve tried to change everyting right away, and it didn’t last.  So, I’ll concentrate on a few small things at a time to try and change.

 Monday, I cleaned and vacuumed the house.  We just moved into a larger house, and I didn’t realize how much more work it would be!  I was dripping in sweat after cleaning!  Tuesday I was lazy and didn’t do anything.  Wednesday, I exercise to Leslie Sansone WATP 3 mile, without any weights.  Today I did WATP for abs 3 miles and did not use the resistance bands.  I’m glad I didn’t because my arms feel sore even without them!
