Today’s Totals - May 31st, 2009
Even with the workout today it was kind of a slow day. It was too cold to be outside in the morning so I did a few things indoors. I cut the last of the free wood we got earlier in the late afternoon (mid-size wood that I was sawing in half with the pruning saw), and that’s about it. Kind of a boring day really. I should be in bed but at the moment am not tired at all. That’s going to be a problem early tomorrow morning.
Food for the day:
Total: 2270 calories (25% fat, 40% protein, 35% carbs)
Breakfast: egg/egg white omelet, cracked wheat oatmeal bread, jam, orange (404)
AM Snack: beef jerky (108)
Lunch: lentil/chicken soup, italian cheese bread, apple (487)
PWO Snack: protein shake with sour cherries (281)
PM Snack: hummus, flatbread (164)
Dinner: sirloin steak, corn, butter, salad w/dressing (652)
Evening Snack: fruit salad, chocolate zucchini cake (174)

i feel the same way about being tired in the morning, summer school starts tomorrow morning and i can’t calm down to truly get a good night sleep, hope you were able to!
Wow, all that wood working is a serious workout and requires real strength - not just playing with weights
Having gone through several upward cycles in the past 18 months, I have found that focusing on the stuff I’ve gained kept me feeling guilty & disappointed with myself, and quite dismissive of any weight I did lose (because I kept thinking it was ‘just’ to get back to the base number). Anyway, that kind of thinking didn’t get me anywhere because I wasn’t ever happy with the little I would lose and then I’d give up and regain it plus a little bit, making the cycle worse and worse. All this to say that maybe you don’t think of your several weeks cycle with a net gain, but rather restart the measurement date from your highest point, because you have done a great job losing, and that’s what you should celebrate!
gottaloose4 - I’m horrible when school is in. Last semester I had two days that started at 8:30 am (which means I leave at 7:30 am) and I prefer to wash my hair in the morning. So basically that had me getting up no later than 6:30 - which is way too early.
Round - I thought of that but it would skew the loss rate very high (with the two weeks of fast drops). What I did though is divide the total gain by the 4 weeks. So next week it will only be a small gain and after that it should be losses.
