Today’s Totals - May 14th, 2009

Nothing else exciting today, but tomorrow we’ll take another shot at heading down to the lakeshore for the morning walk. After that I’ve got a few shopping chores to make (my fault, I offered), and then maybe an attempt at a project that I keep putting off outside. So that’s about it for me for the day. I’ll be off to bed soon.  This morning was wet and dreary so I also got a late start.  We didn’t walk outside so I did 30 mins on the treadmill.

Food for yesterday:

Strength Training - May 14th, 2009

NROL - Break-in A2

So, I did a 5-min cardio warm-up outside, followed by 10 reps each of the prescribed warm-up (except for the t-push-ups - can’t do them). Then I did:

A: Barbell Squat - 45t/15, 50t/15
B1: Static Lunge - 15e/15, 20e/15
B2: Two-pt Dumbbell Row with Elbow Out - 20e/15, 22e/15
C1: Push-up - 15, 15
C2: Swiss-Ball Crunch - 20, 20

Then I did the metabolic overdrive intervals - 3, with 5-min warm up and cool down. (19 mins total)

51 mins, 387 cals, Max HR: 168 (95%), Avg HR: 131 (74%)

It’s a weird day weather-wise. It was warm enough to do the cardio stuff outside in the afternoon, but really quite windy. I think it if wasn’t windy it would be very humid, but I think the bad weather is past. Of course that will change on Monday as it’s a holiday weekend and we always get back weather on holiday days off.

Ooops, I went off to bed last night without posting. Well, I actually fell asleep watching Lost and ended up sleeping on the downstairs couch most of the night. So, this morning was wet and dreary so I also got a late start. We didn’t walk outside so I did 30 mins on the treadmill. I’ll do my strength training later in the week.
