Today’s Totals - Feb 4th, 2009
So the breakfast bake went quite well this morning. I cut off another piece and just nuked it until it was warm. I toasted the thintini, but I think it would have been better just warmed up a little in the microwave as well. Of course, I was truly impatient because our fancy toaster/convection oven is seriously slow. I put it on the bagel setting (which toasts the top, and just warms the bottom), but it didn’t brown on the first go, and I couldn’t be bothered waiting for another round.
The job fair was okay. I’m reserving judgement. I might go back to talk to someone who was ‘coming after a meeting’ at one of the booths. I get the impression that most of the people I talked to don’t seem to care that I’m technically not a co-op this summer. The school discourages (okay tells you that you can’t apply), but most of the people today took resumes, and told me to apply online anyway. So we’ll see how that goes.
I’ll kill a few more minutes in the computer lab and then pop back into the job fair, then grab lunch, and then go to Math and Statistics. Neither of which I seriously want to go to.
Oh, some of you will appreciate this. I took about 4 inches off the trousers of the outfit I’m wearing today… and they’re still kind of loose. I didn’t want to do any more, and they’re a lightweight material, so they hang okay even a little big. However, I thought I was going to freeze to death crossing the parking lot this morning. It was minus 20C (with the windchill), which is about -4F. There is hope though as I understand we’ll be above freezing on Saturday, although I see we’re due for rain. Sigh….
So, I’m sitting here at the desk with the little heater between my feet. It’s pumping out heat at the moment, so that’s a good thing. My schedule has changed for tomorrow, by my own choice. I’ll be going in early to work on something for myself, then meeting up with the guy I’m going to try tutoring. I should be able to take off early though, so that should help. I’ll get home around 3:30 and will get 60 mins done on the treadmill.
