Today’s Totals - Sep 14th, 2008

Okay, I can have the rest of the day to myself!

I’m still struggling with my schedule, but I think I’m getting in control of it. I did get the jam (Damson Plum) made this afternoon and did some review work/questions for my classes tomorrow. I also put my snack stuff together for tomorrow’s lunch. I’ll make the wraps in the morning while making my shake. I’ve also got my food planned for tomorrow but I think I need to look ahead for Tuesday. Mainly because tomorrow I’ll be home late and Tuesday is a brutally early start (6am up).  So I think that’s me for the day I think.

Food for the day:

Total: 2293 (28% fat, 31% carbs, 40% protein)

Breakfast: two fried eggs, honey oatmeal bread, peaches (423)
AM Snack: protein shake with frozen berries (284)
Lunch: whole wheat pizza with turkey sausage/tomato sauce/olives and cheese, nectarine (490)
PM Snack: hummus, flatbread, carrots (226)
Dinner: sirloin steak, corn, butter, salad w/dressing (652)
Late Snack: protein shake, peach (220)

Total time: 70 mins
HR monitor: 367 cals, Max: 148(83%), Avg: 115 (65%)

Well, I’m still struggling a lot with the single-leg romanian deadlift.  I feel very off-balance when doing it, so for the moment I’m not raising the weight.  I think the planks were a smidgen easier (only a smidgen), but I couldn’t make the 45secs for the last one.  Oh well, something to work on.   :)

I’m not sure what the plans for the rest of the day are.  The sun is actually shining so I’m thinking maybe a swim before lunch would be a good idea.  Although, I’ve got jam to make and I’d really rather swim after that’s done.  I’ll see how I feel in a few minutes after I’ve recovered a little.

Weekly Weigh-in - Sep 14th, 2008

The Sunday to Sunday loss this week is 2.4lbs. The 9-week loss is 21.6lbs (2.40/week) which is usually the ‘number’ I look at to see how things are going overall. The daily weights are kind of out of whack this week. The best way to account for this is that I haven’t been quite, umm, regular this week. I think that has more to do with the get up and get out plans for school. I’m not going to worry about it too much as the weight seemed to go back to where I expected on Sat/Sun. The other little compulsive number I look at is how many days I’ve been ‘on plan’ primarily with food. I still consider the maintenance week ‘on plan’ since I accomplished what I wanted to. So, since I started keeping track this is day 248 on plan with food.

Today’s Totals - Sep 13th, 2008

By the time our company left last night, and the clean-up was complete, I really just wanted my bed. So I’m just logging yesterday’s food. I always estimate what I think I’m going to eat when we entertain. I find it keeps me in check when thinking about what to take next.  I think I was pretty close to what I planned, so I’ll consider the night a success from a food point of view.  :)
