Today’s Totals - Sep 8th, 2008
Well, it was a decent first day at school, with more free time than I should have (some of the teachers didn’t take the full amount of time). It was nice though as I got home about an hour earlier. I should have been in class until 6pm, but it ended at 5pm tonight. I can see that perhaps one of the classes I’m going to be bored in (Metrology) and I think the first few Engineering Drawing classes are going to be a snooze. However, it’s first year, so that’s about what you would expect.
I don’t think I’m the oldest one in the class, although this one guy today mentioned he was 38 (I would have said older) so he’s younger than me! There are a few others likely in their 30s or 40s as well though. Here’s my big rant though - where the hell are the women (girls if you must). In four classes today there were never more than two of us in the room. Some of the classes cross the engineering technology group (ie. I’m in Mechanical but the match class had three different groups in one lecture hall). So far I count three of us. That’s kind of scary.
Okay, I think I’m going to post my food for the day now as Monday is probably going to be my bad day overall. Late home and off early in the morning (leaving the house at 7am). As it’s almost 8:30pm and as I’ve just finished my salad I think the rest of my day is shot.
The snack/lunch/snack stuff is completely wrong. What I did was basically plan 3 meals, but I ate some at lunch, some in the afternoon, and some on the way home in the car. I’m going to log them though as lunch and PM snack. Also, the nuts were mixed and taken split between lunch, the afternoon snack and the drive home.

Breakfast: protein shake with frozen berries and oatmeal (359)

Lunch: whole wheat tortillas, mustard, smoked turkey, peach, fruit & nut bar (438)
PM Snack: zucchini snack cake, fruit & nut square, nectarine, soy nuts, almonds (509)
Dinner: chicken thighs with curry sauce over mixed beans and carrots, salad w/dressing (437)
Late Snack: protein shake, peach, nectarine (255)
