Yup, you guessed it, this post isn’t about weight loss entirely! :P As I know that I have mentioned before, I work as a dogwalker/petsitter well the other day I was walking one of my regular pooches..a lovely black lab mix. Now, he weighs about 100 pds and has some anxiety issues to start with. Apparently he has been attacked by a dog before and has some fear issues still. I knew this because a few walks ago he freaked out lunging and barking at this poor tiny little dog coming toward us on a leash. Well! A couple days ago we headed out for our walk, now I hear some barking in the distance and I think it sounds a little weird…like it was coming from a lot of different places, turns out, that was because It Was!!! We hadn’t gotten far, just barely to the first available grassy area when I just had time to turn around and see not one, but THREE little dogs just flying towards. I just reacted on pure instinct, I drew my boy up tight into my side, and slipped my bag off my shoulder, I began just swinging that thing!!! I mean, as hard as I could! I was yelling, I was swinging, I may have even been growling! lol Anyway, my dog is huddled next me not doing much of anything…like he was thinking whoa, she’s got this!!! The little monster dogs were stopped but they kept trying to find a way in past my spinning ninja bag of death! They must have stopped and advanced like 3 or 4 times…it felt like forever, and then there was this kid coming after them trying to get back…yeah right…she wasn’t even really trying…it so pissed me off. I was pumped on adrenaline for the rest of our walk and the dog was calm!!! I think he just figured I know she is going to protect me and she’s scarier than anything I’ve seen! It was crazy! I have to admit, I turned to a cup of coffee at the Coffee Bean & Tea leaf to relax, at least it was sugar free. I was pretty wired for awhile though!
On to the weight stuff… So, I have tweaked my RR program yet again…I am using a small glass of apple cider as my timed evening carbohydrate instead of the potato. Frankly I think it may have been stalling my progress. It is only like the 3rd day, but I feel good and I think the weight is creeping off. Only time will tell if this helps. I feel optimistic so that is a start…
