Yup, I have gotten on the elliptical twice in two days! I have been a little more lax than usual with the workouts…played hooky from class to go to the movies…ended up not going two more days after that because of a snafu with the school bus that had to be taken care of. They didn’t pick her up for school on the first day!!! I had to drive her! On the first day! Do you know how insane that is???? Yeah…and then the person I talked to from the bus company actually had the nerve to CHUCKLE at me! I told her I didn’t think the situation was funny…yeah…it pretty much went downhill from there! DH had to come to the rescue and he ended up getting a refund of a whole 35 cents! :) You know, it wasn’t even about the money but about the principle of the whole thing… And since I was upset I came as close to a binge as I have since I started RR (Radiant Recovery) however, I stopped…took a couple of deep breaths…and made a small snack of whole wheat crackers and a wedge of laughing cow cheese…progress…definitely progress…
My eating has been going extraordinarily well this past week…I have been experimenting with all sorts of new recipes for the crockpot…and I discovered that I love baked apples filled with peanut butter mixed with cinnamon…very nice sweet tooth satisfier!!! I was reading a yoga magazine a few days ago that had an article about 61 point yoga relaxation and I have been doing it for two days as well…you lay down in Shavasana (final relaxation) and start at the point between your eyes…taking a breath or two while focusing just on that energy center…you go around the body…taking your attention to each point and breathing for one or two breaths (I imagine you could use as many breaths as you wanted) It takes me about 20 mins or so taking about two breaths… I cover my eyes with my sleep mask and lay under my ceiling fan on my yoga rug…it is heaven and I feel amazing when I get up!
Cooking dinner…gotta run…as always…thanks Rubes!!! I really need to go comment for you as well! You make me know I am not talking to myself! ![]()
I would have been upset about the bus too - all moms would. But you stayed strong. I love your idea about the apple/pb/cinnamon. I think I might try that.

Take care, have a great day…Ruby
It’s definitely an accomplishment that you were able to regain your composure after the bus incident. Celebrate the little victories, they’ll pave the way to bigger ones.
