But swinging up the rest of the way onto the wagon! It feels good… Today has been on track, mindful, and the start of a new month..This year feels a little different…so much has changed since last year at this time… May didn’t treat us very well last year…this year has started off fairly rocky as well. I have to believe that things are getting better…and I do.
Maybe I can make May be the start of my new mindful, healthy, way of eating, turning around the horrible eating of the past week or so and giving me new focus. That is what I am going for. Yesterday when I was meditating a phrase came to me out of the blue that was different than the usual mantra I use…it was “I can stop” and it meant my stress and emotional eating…I felt it. And it has been better today…I am feeling more at ease… I have eaten well and I am feeling positive.. Oh! And on a side note, I had bought some peppermint essential oil awhile back…I have heard that it helps with mood, mental focus, and there has been some talk of helping with food cravings…well, I had used a little bit on my pulse points and such before (I know you are supposed to dilute it, but my skin doesn’t react to it…) but the scent wears of fairly quickly… I had read on some yoga site that was talking about ayurveda medicine that you can use essential oils in diffusers and such which makes sense…but also like on a handkerchief as well…well I use bandanas for working out sometimes and as it turns out my DH had gotten me this really cool Ozzy Osbourne bandana for Xmas that I had been reluctant to “sweat up”…perfect for carrying the peppermint oil with me!!! And it stays stronger longer!! Awesome!! So, there ya go…just my two cents for the day!
You’re two cents adds up to a lot more value than just two cents! So happy for you that you recieved a gift (this is how I think of it) from the universe - I can stop! And I love your idea about the hankie for your essential oil. It’s a grand idea. My mom carries scented hankies, and now I started to do that too. She uses a very old cologne (4711), which has strong notes of lavender and herbs. It’s wonderful.
