ABOUT ME

February 27th, 2008

I let myself go completely out of hand over the years and I have no one but myself to blame. Now I’ve reached a point where I need to make some serious changes in my life. I’m hoping to stay motivated and focused in achieving my goals. I’m 32 years old, live in umm…Gotham City :D , an agnostic, married to a wonderful supportive husband, no kids and pets yet.

I’ve been struggling with some right knee issues for past year or so and I recently decided to go see a doctor for it. He informed me that it’s to do with my knee cartilage and he sent me for physical therapy and of course losing little weight should help as well. So here I am on my long journey to weight loss. This is very hard for me to bare my soul to everyone in the world but I think it is important for me to do it, not only to help myself but also to help others who are going through the same thing.

I do have to say that I very much enjoy cooking and love food. I am slowly incorporating good healthy habits and trying new and wonderful things as well as looking into alternatives/substitutes for various food items.

Wow … almost thirty pounds lost. That’s impressive. Think this way, if you lost even a pound of additional body fat a week (very realistic — and some weeks you might lose more), within a year you would be almost at your target weight.

And the best part is that as you lose it slowly, it’s less likely to bounce back on (believe me, this is true.)

Also, since you’re doing some resistance training, the additional muscle will help out with a whole bunch of things, including boosting your metabolism, helping stabilize that knee, and giving you more definition and a better muscle to body fat ratio.

    Keep it up!
