On my journey of losing one hundred pounds

Good morning all! I had a great weekend camping out in the mountains with my family and husband and it was a ton of fun.

I finally found my old stats from my heaviest recorded weight. I wanted to go ahead and post them, along with today’s stats and see how far I have come. Also when I reach goal it will be amazing to see the results not only through pounds but measurements as well!

My heaviest recorded weight was 275, it is highly possible that I tipped the scales near 280 before I went to the doctor for my check up back then.

As of Jan. 1, 2010:
Starting Weight: 275
Hips: 65.5 inches
Waist: 52 inches
Bust: 53 inches
Right Arm: 22 inches
Right Thigh: 32 inches
Neck: 18 inches
Pant size: 24
Shirt size: XXL
Dress size: XXL

As of 10/15/12:
Weight: 224.8
Hips: 50 inches
Waist: 38.5 inches
Bust: 44 inches
Right Arm: 16 inches
Right Thigh: 29 inches
Neck: 13.5 inches
Pant Size: 16/18
Shirt Size: XL sometimes L
Dress size: XL sometimes L

Current measurement deficit:

Hips: -15.5 inches
Waist: -13.5 inches
Bust: 9 inches
Right Arm: 6 inches
Right Thigh: 3 inches
Neck: 4.5 inches

Awesome to see that, can’t wait to see some better stats for sure!

As my first post I’d like to introduce myself and explain why I am here. My name is Courtney, I am 24 years old and am a Physics major as well as a full time nanny. I had gotten very sick a couple of years ago which left me sedentary and one hundred pounds heavier than I had ever been before. Once we found out that my illness was caused by a common birth control, I was back on track to my health and was given the okay to begin exercising to lose the excess weight. I had lost 80 pounds within a year, but quickly put back on 35lbs after a few big life events. Now that I have figured out how to balance my life including taking care of myself, I have lost a total of 45 lbs. I want to lose at least 45-60 more lbs but more than anything I just want to be healthy and fit again, and preferably a size 12. I figured blogging along with tracking my diet and exercise like I did before will help me attain my goals. I am getting married near the end of the year so I have a couple of months to lose about 20 lbs beforehand, which I know is doable.

Anyways, that’s enough for now. Tomorrow morning begins a new exercise routine and I figured I would begin with workout DVDs. My fiance and I are going to start running together (he is in excellent shape) a couple of evenings a week so that will be even more motivation.
