My Contract
Filed Under contract | Leave a Comment
I will commit to losing one pound a week. Every time I am tempted to overeat in private, I will remember that the excess poundage is there for the whole world to see, but more importantly, I am not taking proper care of my temple that God gave me. I am shortening my life span, and taking precious time away from my children. I will remember that I am human and I will slip up. But from this day forward the slip up only lasts temporarily, and I will return to my program the very next meal. That does not give me a license to binge in between meals, instead it means I will remind myself that I can always have more later when my food budget allows me. I will learn to respect food for it’s proper purpose and learn to eat to fuel my body. I will learn that my body loves to move and I will learn how delicious vegetables and fruits really are. My mantra is “I can have anything I want as soon as I give up the belief that I can’t.” And I will develop a new mantra, “I’ve got a new attitude.”
