Just an ordinary day shaping up.  I have to work and then there shouldn’t be anything else.  Got my Lean Cuisine ready to go.  Got my yogurt breakfast.  I had a talk with DH yesterday.  He’s always tired and doesn’t feel like doing anything.  He felt great when I went on the South Beach Diet about 5 years ago.  His diabetes improved dramatically and his cholesterol dropped way down.  I think he’s willing to do that again.  Of course, that means I have to do it.  Not sure about it because I do like those carbs!  Something to consider…

Have a good one, Chicklets!

I understand the hesitation with SBD. I had great results when I could stick with the plan, but it is such a drastic lifestyle change. (And so hard to swear off all those comforting carbs!) For people with diabetes it is a great diet. Perhaps you could do a modified SBD and you both could be happy. Happy Monday!

There are still carbs on SBD, just less of them, and the ones that stay are “good” ones… maybe you could get him to start in phase 2 because it’s less a shock? Less effective in fast wt loss, but if it’ll help him start….

Our posting times must be off b/c your “name” hasn’t been up there when I have been on. I caught up on your last few posts and I’m glad to see you survived the wedding. I hope you enjoy the quasi-easy day and that hubby gets back on the beach. Even if you don’t follow the plan 100% it should be easier for you to stay on your plan when he’s eating healthier, too.

Hi Patty ~ I’ve girded my ever-widening loins (oph!) and have picked up my South Beach Diet book again. What happened when you went on it 5 years ago? I stumbled at Phase 2 and went on a deadly decline, er, INcline on the scale that is.
I’m back and ready to have at ‘er again.
And again.
And again.

I decided the “Fat Grandmotherly Type” was too frustrating to dress.
