Sistah Pat

Busy weekend but now it’s back to work.  I went to a birthday party for Sistah Pam Saturday.  Lots of good food and good people.  It’s actually her birthday today and some of us are going to a Cuban Restaurant to celebrate this evening.

Spent yesterday doing lesson plans for the upcoming week so I’ve got it covered.  We’re off Friday so it’ll be a short one.  The kids are actually off Friday, Monday and Tuesday but teachers are only off Friday.  I have a couple of ideas for what I’d like to do.  Maybe paint the living room…DS and DH will be driving to Olathe, Kansas (wherever that is) to deliver a Super Beetle Amp they sold on e-bay so I guess they’ll be gone Friday and Saturday.  What I’d like to do is check into a hotel with a couple of good books and a great restaurant.

DS and DIL go back to court Thursday.  I don’t know if I should go or not.  Everyone seems to think this is just a “touch base” kind of appearance and nothing is going to happen.  I’d have to take off work in able to go.  I guess I should ask his attorney if there’s any reason for me to go.  I may need to save that sick day for another mammogram instead.  I got the results and they want me to come back in for more tests.  It’s kind of irritating.  I’ve had a breast reduction and they’ve asked me to come back in the last two times I had a mammogram because of some scar tissue that shows up on the X-rays.  I know that’s what it is but I can’t take any chances so I’ve got to make another appointment to get it checked and that means more time off work.
