I think it might rain…
I think it’s gonna rain. I know it did last night. It poured from around 6:00 until I went to bed at 10:00. The satellite TV went out, came back on, went out, came on, went out and finally stayed out around 8:45. We’re going to have to call them. The last couple of months, it seems like the TV goes out whenever it rains.
I got some cleaning done this weekend. Not a lot but it’s a start. Totally scrubbed the living room and hall. Cleaned all the pictures, washed the walls, shampooed the carpets, washed all the windows inside and out. Of course, washing all the windows pretty much guarantees a storm will follow and splatter them up.
I haven’t written much about the DIL thing for a while, Beerab, because it’s just a long and irritating battle. We go back to court on October 1. The new caseworker doesn’t do much. At least he’s not a lying, conniving, totally biased diva like the other one but he doesn’t seem to want to get involved with anything. About visitation…he says he’d prefer that DIL and DS work it out on their own. DS has decided that’s not going to work so we’ve made up our minds that we’ll have to let the judge set visitation. It’s been DS picking up the kids at school at 4:00, getting them to my house at 4:30, and having to leave at 5:30 Monday through Friday for a month or so. Friday, DIL annnounced that she’s working different hours this week and she won’t be able to pick them up until 8:00 every evening. She said she’s working Saturday too and “he’ll have to watch them”. I told her he couldn’t watch them on Saturday and she said, “Well, I have to work. He’s got to.” I said, “He won’t be in town Saturday and he won’t be able to.” We left it at, “Well, talk to him because I have to work.” I tried to call her Saturday to tell he said there’s no way and her number was disconnected.
I think it’s going to be a long haul. Right now, she’s still in a pretty good place. I’m afraid she’s probably going to be good for a while now, she’ll probably get custody and then she’ll start playing her games again in six months or so. I try not to dwell on it but it’s always in the back of my mind and I wake up almost every night thinking about it.
Enough, I’ve got to get my shower and try to round up some rubber ducks to follow me to work.

Thanks for the update- I do hope it works out soon! I won’t ask anymore I promise
How funny where I live it seems when it gets too hot our cable goes out… I’m expecting it to go out within the next few days as they say temperatures are going to reach over 100 this week
