Happy Birthday, Jaker-Mon!
Today is DGS Jake’s birthday. He’s ten years old today. We have a few gifts and some cake. Not like in the past when we’d have a big party for him but he’ll only be here from 4:30 to 6:00 this evening and DS has to leave at 5:30 so there’s not a lot we can do. Hope he’s not disappointed. Here’s a picture DS took with him last week.
I’ve been really busy this week. School and watching kids. We’ve had a houseful this week. Work is going well but I’m still glad it’s Thursday. Nothing going on after school today so I get to hit the door running after the bell rings. Yay!!!
8:40 a.m. - We’re doing statewide testing today. I’m working with an ECE student who gets a reader assigned to him. That means I read the questions and he writes down the answers. This particular test is called “On Demand Writing” which means I read a scenario to him and he has to write a response that addresses the issue. It took me five minutes to read it to him and now he gets to have an hour to write his response. My job? Just sit in the room and be supervise. We have another hour before the kids are released to go back to class so I guess I’ll just sit here and play ketchup!

Hope he has a great day and realizes what a wonderful grandma he has. Glad to hear from you, I was getting worried.
