Up and at em!
Lazy weekend. I worked on my computer almost all weekend. Only went out a couple of times. I got my lessons for the week all written and posted online and explored the grade/attendance program I talked about last Thursday. Also downloaded a free program to use with my students in web design and played with it a little bit. Oh yeah, colored my hair pink/purple.
The weather was gorgeous so I went out to the spa a couple of times. Fall is definitely in the air. DH and I were planning to go to our place in Florida the first week in October when I have a long weekend but we rethought it and decided not to go. It would be really pushing it since I only have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. Still, I’ve got a sleeper sofa, a dining room table and four chairs, and five cabinets that NEED TO GO. They’re in my way and I’m tired of looking at them. Guess it will have to wait until Thanksgiving break.
I bought a “Power Red” color for my hair and it turned out pretty bright. I can’t decide if it looks more pink or purple. That’s okay. I like it and know it’s going to fade pretty quickly. The reds always do.
DH wanted a casserole for dinner last night but he was torn between hot chicken salad and a hashbrown casserole so I made a combo. Guess you could call it a hot hashbrown chicken casserole salad. It turned out good but my stomach is being a bit rebellious this morning. Sometimes it seems like the list of things I can’t eat is beginning to outnumber the list of things I can.
A couple of friends were supposed to meet us this weekend for dinner and a movie but they called Saturday and invited us to their house for a cookout instead. Long drive each way so we didn’t go. It felt good to just hang out at home.

Sometimes there is just nothing better than a lazy weekend spent at home. Hot hashbrown chicken casserole? My stomach is rebelling at the thought - sounds like something that tastes good but is a bit harsh on the system. I’ve found that I now have a list of foods I have to avoid because “I like them, but they don’t like me!”
Pink/purplish red hair? The last time I colored my own hair, I ended up with a dark brown mess with burgundy streaks… not really what I was going for! I admit I’ve now turned into one of “those” women who pays a small fortune for her hair to look “natural”.
Hope you have a good day!!
