That would be me.  All decked out in yellow walking shorts, a sleeveless yellow top (let those underarms flap in the breeze!) and yellow sandals.  I drug Mr. Scale out of the closet this morning and he’s showing me 176 fully dressed.  Now, we’re off to meet Hector for another episode of Las Dentistas!

7:45 - I’m tired!  Thought I’d fix a nice cold dinner tonight with a smorgasbord of easy stuff and it damn near did me in!  I had four or five different kinds of cheese, peaches, cantelope, watermelon, grape tomatoes, crackers, bagels with cream cheese, sliced ham and turkey, challah bread, sliced apples, fresh pineapple, and summer rolls with grilled chicken.  WHY am I so exhausted?  It seems like it took forever to peel and slice fruit, veggies, grill chicken, and julienne all the veggies for summer rolls.  Of course, the most time consuming thing was soaking the rice wrappers, filling them, and rolling them up.  To top it all off, they were disappearing faster than I could roll them.  I don’t know why it took so long and took so much out of me.

So, what happened today?  We went across the border to the dental clinic and I had my teeth cleaning and fillings done.  DH has his bridge preps done and we were back across the border by noon.  Not bad!  We called DS to pick us up but he and the boys were in New Mexico at the War Eagles Air Museum so we told them we’d get some lunch and they could take their time.  We went to the restaurant and the Wyndham Hotel and I ordered the luncheon special of soup of the day and mexican dinner of sliced beef topped with red and green peppers in a tomato sauce accompanied with refried beans, rice, and a cheese enchilada.  It was terrible.  The beef tasted like it was leftover roast beef from last night’s dinner that had been sliced and nuked and then topped with some wimpy insipid sauce.  It was tough and dry and had no flavor at all.  I didn’t want the beans or rice but I ate the soup and enchilada.  I told the waitress the beef was terrible and she apologized but that was as far as it went.  This was a nice hotel and a nice restaurant and I was really disappointed.  Should have told them I wasn’t paying $14.95 for food that was inedible but I just let it go.

We walked across the street to view the largest bronze equestrian statue in the world and it was a thing of beauty!  DS and the twins showed up to pick us up and then we went to the Border Patrol Museum and the Museum of Archeology.  Here’s a pic of DS and the twins in front of the statue.

A stop at the grocery and we came back to the RV.  It was a wreck because the boys didn’t do anything after DH and I left this morning so I cleaned it and fixed dinner and that’s where I am.

Those summer rolls sound really good! What are they made of other than chicken?
