I’m getting my slacker self caught up today—after my 3hr. nap!!!!! Your measure thingy is great. Can’t wait to get started on “our” vacay. Kudos to your son whatever is reasons!!!!

Hon, I know you think eating under 1000 cals is going to get that weight off. I think it’s just going to mess with your system. If you’re not eating a reasonable amount before your vacation, and then you start eating ‘not so well’ you may find that you come back weighing a lot more. Your body adjusts to things like 600 cal days, and will gain weight on 1200 ones eventually. There’s a doctor’s clinic around here that does medically supervised weight loss (800 cals a day). I know three women who have used it. They always lose fast (he also gives vitamin shots, combined with three day a week visits to chide them about diet). Not one of them has been able to stop the regain once they stop going. They haven’t all regained it all, but the first 10 pounds comes back almost immediately.

Thanks, Anne, I know I should eat more calories than this. It’s a bad eating pattern I have. Usually, I don’t eat enough and then I eat too much and then I don’t eat enough, and then I binge, etc. I think I’m doing really well with keeping a lid on the bingeing but I’m not addressing the need to make sure I get enough calories everyday. I’ll try to work on this. I just get busy and don’t pay attention to it. It kind of worries me that I don’t get hungry when I do this. I think that’s the result of years of bad eating habits.
