Downtown Charlie Brown
I have no idea why I made that my post title. I was thinking I’m feeling down.. and this is what came out. Well, I called for an appointment to talk to someone. I have been feeling like crap for months now.. so what can it hurt to talk to someone.
I also heard from my Director. Everything is settled.. I will be working part time from 9:00am - 2:30pm. I don’t know if this will work, but it’s worth a shot… maybe just getting up every morning and getting dressed and leaving the house will help. I start in October. I could of easily just started tomorrow, but I want to get Yumna and Safiya both settled into school/daycare.
I made thai green curry, mango salad and my DH made pad thai for dinner last night. It was so tasty. I know this is not really helping to inspire good eating habits, but the point was I got off my ass and did it, when I didn’t feel like doing anything yesterday.
And today, I mowed the lawn. The front at least is done so far… I will do a little at a time. But, it was good to go outside today.. I was in the house all day yesterday and didn’t shower and change until 7pm. Today I was dressed by noon.
Oh, my basement flooded on Monday so we have been having an assortment of workers and adjusters showing up here from time to time. It’s so annoying because we can’t figure out why it happened. It looks like the drain backed up, but WHY? I just don’t want these guys to fix everything just to have it happen again.
Remaining goals for today:
- make something for dinner
- clean up the kitchen and bathroom
- straighten my hair

I hope you start feeling better. Being down and out is tough. Keep pushing through it. Talking to someone might help.
Talking to someone helps, I’m in the process of doing just that. The thai green curry/mango salad sounds divine and now I want some mango!
