Summer Days
I’m loving the hot weather that we’ve been having lately. The kids are having a blast going in the water every day. I put on the sprinkler and let them go crazy.
I’ve been working on the garden a lot. I finally caved in and bought some plants for my vegetable garden instead of waiting for the seeds to grow. I bought parsley, cherry tomatos and basil so far.. when I went to go plant them in my vegetable patch you wouldn’t believe what I found.. my coriander!! I don’t know if you remember, but about a month ago I had started some coriander and basil seeds and the container that I had them in blew off the deck and I had no idea where the seeds got to. Looks like the coriander seeds some how made it to the vegetable patch and are growing in nicely. How awesome! Especially since they didn’t have any coriander plants at the garden centre.
I also bought a lot of annuals for the backyard just to give it some colour. Things are slowly starting to come together. The grass is looking much better and although it could use another seeding I think we will wait until fall now because it is way way too hot and I’m sick of not having the backyard to play in.
We have this crusty old shed that came with our house. At first we were thinking of getting rid of it so we called the junk removal guys, and they told us it would cost $600 to get rid of.. so we decided that maybe we should try and salvage it instead. So we painted the inside lavender and the outside a brownish taupe colour, and now we need to clean up the roof and paint that and get some doors for it. I’ve planted some clamatis on the outside of one of the walls and I’m hoping it will grow soon.
Yesterday we went to my favourite Lebanese restaurant which has a great vegetarian buffet. Normally I don’t gain weight when I eat here because it is all vegetarian and makes you quite regular. But today I was up a pound, so I won’t be agreeing to go there so easily anymore.
Well the weight loss was going well until yesterday. I’m at 179.4lbs.. which is really great.. nice to be back in the 170’s. This time I won’t take this for granted and work hard to keep this weight. I NEVER want to see the 180’s again.

I had Lebanese once; I really enjoyed it! Keep up the good work, and before you know it, you’ll be saying “I NEVER want to see the 170’s again”…!
Mmmm sounds so good… I want some!
Seriously, we need to make a pact. NO MORE 180s!!! I’m sure it’s mostly water weight (the 1 lb gain) so it’ll be off in no time! Sounds like a delicious place, though!
cant wait to be in the 170’s!! soon I hope
thats so funny about the corriander.
