Things are Changing!
So as you know I have been desperately trying to get back on the weightloss bandwagon. I was having a hard time and then on Thursday you know the great fiasco about getting ready.. well after that things have been better but not great. I read on inkheartmeg’s blog some advice from bigprof to just get one of exercise or food in order on a day, and go from there.. and so that is EXACTLY what I did. Food had been the problem the last couple of weeks and so thats what I am dealing with right now. Of course I had to pick the weekend of my Dad’s 65th birthday, Father’s Day and my 6th anniversary.
I actually did really good this weekend. For my Dad’s birthday I decided to make a chickpea salad along with the regular salad my Mom wanted me to bring. I ate mostly that with a very little bit of the incredibly tasty food my Mom made. And yesterday when we went out for dinner I got chicken breast with salad and little bit of rice. (I didn’t order the rice, but came with my meal by accident).
As for exercising, it hasn’t been happening the way I want. Anything I have been doing for the last month has mostly been walking for something we are doing more than actually exercising for the sake of exercising.
That being said, the scale is being nice and things are going in the downward direction. I should be back to my low weight of 178 lbs by next week.

Hey I think it sounds like you’re off to a great start! I mean, that’s all we really can do - make the best choices with what’s presented to us at the time. I’m learning too that sometimes putting so much emphasis on eating perfectly and exercising perfectly can be more stressful than it’s worth, so just focusing on one thing at a time is a good way to make it a habit, not something we HAVE to do.
