It All Worked Out..

As it usually does.. doesn’t it? So this is what I wore.  The size 16 Reitmans pants, and a shirt that is a little bit too tight for me (which is why the last button is not done up).  I also ended up borrowing a sweater to wear on top from my Mom when I went to drop off the kids.  I was just too uncomfortable with the short sleeves.

The awards ceremony was so nice.  They even had a band and dancers.  I was sitting beside one of the dancer’s Mom.  These dancers were from So You Think You Can Dance Canada.. which is probably not so exciting for most of you but I watched the show religiously.

Then after the awards ceremony I had planned that we would go out and celebrate our anniversary.  It’s on Sunday but this weekend is so packed with SO SO SO many things.. it’s my Dad’s 65th Birthday, and Father’s Day, that I didn’t think DH and I would get to go out by ourselves.  So, since the kids were at my Mom’s I thought we should take advantage of the opportunity.

We went to the Distillery District.. walked around, crashed an art exhibit opening and went for dinner at a fancy restaurant that we LOVE.  We went there the first time on Valentines Day sort of by chance and fell in love with the place.

I’m going to leave you with some pictures from our vacation.  The first is me and the kids at a street art festival (the kids fell asleep in the car and so we popped them in the stroller and walked around), and the second is the kids wearing their matching dresses.  I’m really not into the matching thing, but I couldn’t decided which kid to buy this dress for so I bought it for both of them and Yumna just LOVED the idea of her and Safiya wearing the same clothes.
