Weights and Measures
So I’ve been taking measurements since March and I am so happy that I did. It’s nice to see those numbers coming down too. It makes you feel so good to have the hard facts about how much you’ve lost.. the scale is so unpredictable. Seeing your body shrink make all the difference.
I’m not brave enough yet to post my measurements, but I’ve lost 3 inches on my hips which makes me ecstatic.
Today is Aquafit which is great. I only have two classes left in this session and I’m trying to decide whether or not to join for the summer. I think I will, but I have to find another community centre as the one I am going to is closing for the summer. They are replacing the tiles or something.
There is one that is even closer to my house that I should check out the timings for summer. This session the class was in the daytime, and I’m looking for a late evening class so I can have dinner with the family and go after.
In other news we have been working like crazy on our garden. Our backyard has been kind of a disaster for the last two years. There are a lot of bare patches of grass and bumps across the whole backyard, and the area along the fence was a mess. So, we had 9 yards of soil dropped off in front of our house and spent the weekend moving it to the backyard to make a huge flower bed against the fence line. Then we decided that we would put soil across our whole backyard and put in new grass seed. It has been an enormous amount of work but I’m hoping it will be worth it. It’s now a matter of keeping the soil moist and hoping some grass will grow soon.

Congratulations on the inch loss! After all, that’s what people will see, not the number on the scale
Keep up the good work!
As well, gardening is amazing exercise!

I tell ya, if I hadn’t been taking measurements when I first started working out with my trainer, I would have quit a long time ago. When the number on the scale isn’t cooperating, the tape measure is a good reminder how far we’ve come!
Aquafit sounds like fun. They have those at my gym too but I never take them because to be in the pool usually requires me to remove my hearing aid and glasses. But maybe I don’t have to remove those…hmmm. Something to look into.
Congrats on your inches inching downward!
In my class most of the time you can get away with not getting your head wet.. there are ladies that wear glasses. I don’t know about the hearing aid though, just with the glasses if they do get wet, you can always dry them off.. but with the hearing aid, would the water not damage it? If I were you and attending the class, I would stand a little bit away from the ladies so that if there was a particular move that was extra splashy you would avoid the splashes and could maybe do it at a lower intensity.
