Two A Days

Okay so I wanted to share this tip I got on the forums.  It’s the idea of working out two times a day.  (I know, its hard enough to work out once a day!) But, seriously, this works.  Even if it is small amounts of exercise, if you break it up so that you do them at different times of the day, it seems to make a huge difference.

The last couple of days I would get out of the house and walk, not necessarily for exercise.. just going to the park with the girls, or walking around Niagra Falls, or yesterday when I dropped off the car at the dealers for an oil change, and walked home.. and then followed up by doing my workout in the evening.  It seems to have boosted my metabolism.

Granted, I have been eating a hell of a lot better this weekend too.  Well sort of.. I’ve been starting my day out well..  cereal or oatmeal and yogurt.  A good healthy lunch or a smaller lunch.. the evenings have been okay, they start out okay and then there is usually a small mishap.. but I definitely have been watching my carb intake in the evenings.. oh and thanks to Beerab about the tip about aspartame.. I cut that too.

Anyway, the combination of this approach has really got this weight loss going again.  I am afraid to tell you my weight today in the fear that I’m going to jinx it.. lets just say it is better than yesterday. I’ll let you know the numbers next Monday.

  2. That’s awesome! I’ve heard that changing up your routine is a good way to shake things up scale-wise…sounds like it’s working for you! Way to go!!! I think you’re doing a phenomenal job!

  3. Congrats on the goal! And lovely pics! Are you near Niagara Falls on the USA side or the Canada side? I’m on the Canadian side!!
