Copy What Fit People Do

This is a really good article that I found with tips on losing weight.

I really liked this because it is very common sense.  Get enough sleep, eat fruit and vegetables, drink water, etc.. but the tips I particularly liked were:

Fit people have hobbies. They are not obsessed with food and exercise.  I think since I started this journey I’ve become a little (a lot) obsessed.  I log on to the forums/blogs for at least a couple of hours a day, I think about everything that I eat, I think about all the exercise I do, or haven’t done too much, and really I have left my hobbies behind.  I really need to stop obsessing.

Fit people do not weigh themselves all the time. They often don’t know how much they weigh.. and I know how much I weigh at any point in the day.  I do stupid things on the scale every morning.. like I weigh myself with no clothes on after I’ve gone to the washroom.  If I haven’t had a BM I will wait to eat until after I do just so I can find my lowest weight.  I know.. pretty funny, but pathetic too.

Anyway, in addition to all the weight loss goals I think I’m going to try and stop obsessing about this weight loss so much.

  1. Thanks for the article! Interesting read- I agree with this part:

newsflash: when you have eaten to the point of being satisfied, forcing the rest of the food down on your plate is NOT going to help the kids in Africa…

My mom used to pull that one on me all the time and I remember eating very large meals as a kid, too much now that I look back on it.
