Earth Hour

Just a reminder about Earth Hour.. it’s tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. EST.  It’s something small we can do for the environment, and it’s kind of cool that it’s a global effort.

Last year we participated and I remember it was not as easy as we thought it was going to be.  Safiya was only 4 months old and she really didn’t like the dark.  I was happy that I was nursing, because you’d have to plan ahead if you needed a bottle.

This year I am going to prepare ahead of time.. make some snacks for the kids, and get some candles.  That way we can enjoy it.  If its nice enough, maybe we can go for a walk during that time.

    Yes.. Earth Hour… the BF and I are going to go down to the Lake and watch across the water to see how dark the skyline goes for Earth Hour!!

    Thanks hveeck.. It took me forever to find names for the girls that both my husband and I agreed on. Earth Hour is not using any electricity for the hour across the planet. It’s a small thing but it makes you realize just how much we take our electricity for granted.
