Weigh In Monday

So its Monday and I didn’t get a chance to get on the computer until now.  Unfortunately, I didn’t do so hot in my weigh in this week. I weighed in at 196.2 lbs. I am actually shocked because I was 195.2lbs on Saturday morning, and I was really good this weekend food wise.  The only explanation is some food incidents in the week, and I wasn’t exercising every day. I was working out every other day and not really getting much walking in.  Also could be water retention.

Yesterday was an exciting day for me regardless of what the scale said this morning.  I went swimming with my husband and kids at the local community pool.  Now, to the average bear, this may seem like a very regular type activity.  But, for me, this was a big deal.  Because for atleast the last year, I’ve been covered in red painful patches on my arms and legs, I would avoid swimming like the plague.  I would always be so self concious of what people would think when they saw my skin.. and whether they would get paranoid about if my psoriasis was a contagious skin disease.  So, I wouldn’t go.  But, yesterday, I decided to go because my skin is doing so much better.  Like amazingly better.  My arms are completely clear, and my legs have maybe two little patches. I had such a great time.. I was so inspired to take an Aquafit class or something.. but then I decided I should wait a little bit to see how long my new found skin freedom will last.  It’s only been a month since my skin cleared up, and I’ve only just tapered down using my cortisone spray.

Back to weight loss.  So my goals for this week are:

1.  Go down to 193 - I’m thinking this should be a mini goal since it is 20 lbs. lost.
2.  Increase my water intake from an average of 4-5 glasses to 8
3.  Increase my exercising to at least 5 days a week

Let’s see how it goes.
