Down and Out

So on Monday, I was feeling all amazing.. I went for this really long walk with the girls, we went to the park and they had a great time and I did my 30 Day Shred DVD.. I was pumped.. and then yesterday came and crash. I’m so out of it.. I just want to eat something like poutine and forget all about this dieting thing for awhile. But as I told you, my husband jumped on the bandwagon a couple of days after me, and he’s already lost 19 lbs. which is awesome for him. He’s so excited to continue.. and I just want to order a pizza. So I’m forced to continue.. which is a good thing, I’m sure I’ll get out of this funk if I continue with the diet and exercise.. But in the mean time, I did buy some Reeses peanut butter cups and had one earlier this morning. Just one.

  1. That’s nice hubby wants to do it with you- my husband can’t stand healthy food and I used to eat bad stuff cuz I’d make dinners for him- but now I’m like screw it- I need to lose weight- so eat what I make or starve lol. His idea of losing weight is eating a chicken sandwhich from McDonald’s instead of a burger- and I’m like uh they are just as bad for you! :p

  2. The first couple of days I was on my own. He was totally not interested, but then his cousin from overseas, who he barely talks to commented on his facebook profile pic that he was looking fat and he decided to jump on board. Thank God for that comment, I don’t think I would of gotten this far without him.. and nothing I would of said would of changed his habits, it had to come from someone else. I have to admire your dedication to do this on your own.

  3. It happens — we all have down days! I’ve been at this (the dieting, not the blogging!) for a long time and you get ‘burnout’. It usually stems from eating the same things all the time. Maybe what you need is some new recipes and some new foods. We recently started mixing up those flavored water packs and trying the new flavors and also looking up new recipes on the internet just to spice things up. I know for me, if I am bored with my food, it makes me want to eat not so good stuff. Hopefully that will give you a new *spark*. :D You’ve been doing so well up until this point, I’d hate to see you give up! Keep going!
