The Blahs
The weight is still coming off, but at a very slow pace. It’s okay I guess.. I didn’t gain it over night so I can’t expect to lose it over night. It’s funny because I always thought I was a fairly healthy person despite my extra weight, but as I’m working on this diet and increasing my exercise, I’m realizing just how untrue that has become in the last year. I don’t know if it is because I’m at home on maternity leave, that things have gone down, or I have just become less thoughtful about the decisions I am making about my food and exercise.
I’m having a hard time coming up with good dinner options for the family. I think I’ve just over done it on vegetables that I can’t think of food that I actually want to eat that the family will be okay with. Yesterday I attempted to make this light thai vegetable soup.. it totally bombed.. tasted like water with vegetables. My husband made fun of me, but ate it. Which was nice. I also made lentils.. but I didn’t feel like eating it, and he made a lovely salad. We had some left over chicken from the night before so I took that out too. I ended up making a sandwich out of his salad, the left over chicken and some brown pita. I didn’t even enjoy it.
I used to love cooking, and eating.. and this diet I guess has taken the joy out of both of these things. At the beginning I was very enthusiastic, trying new recipes, but seriously how many ways can you make a bean?
The results of the Fat Smash diet have been unbelievable, I’ve lost almost 15 lbs. in one month. I really can’t complain. But the first 9lbs. happened in the first week. So now its moving like a snail, but moving. I don’t know.. maybe I have the blahs.

There’s a lot of really healthy (and low-calorie, low-fat, whatever-else-you-might-need) recipes out there. I’m sure you’ll find some suited to you and your family. good luck.
That’s how I felt when I did the fat smash! I lost 8 lbs right away then the second I put meat back in I stopped the loss.
I wouldn’t worry about the recipe- I know I am a good cook- and there are recipes out there that I have tried that I’m like omg this is gross! Probably tossing in some garlic salt and if you like hot sauce that spicy sauce that is used in hot soups would have made it taste great
