Living in a Dream Land..

And so we returned the scale. It’s about the journey, right?? So I’m going to continue living in a world that is six pounds lighter.. which means today I am at 200!!! yeah!

The weekend was harder than I expected.. on Friday we had some friends over.. we had to offer them more than beans to eat.. which means there were some cookies and sandwiches in the house.. we ate them but in very very moderate amounts. Then on Saturday we went to another friend’s house to eat. Dinner was no problem.. she had made chickpeas as one of her items so that was good. But dessert.. not so good. Apple pie with almonds! Seriously, that is a serious weakness of mine.. I can defeat chocolate but not pie. I’ve had a bag of M&M’s in my bag for the last ten days that I think about from time to time, but haven’t opened.. but the apple pie I had to have. I took a small piece, and didn’t go for seconds.

So yesterday, we started Phase II of the diet. Which means all things are equal and we get to add a little cheese, a whole egg and some meat. Yum. Last night we made salad, spanish brown rice, grilled vegetables and chicken for dinner. We’ve been pretty good on the diet, aside from the slips mentioned earlier, but the weight loss has slowed down. I’m even exercising too.. I’ve been going on walks around the neighbourhood and I bought the Gillian Michaels exercise dvd, the 30 day shred. It’s great!

I’m pretty sure the issue is the water. I’m still not up to 8 cups. I’m hovering around 4-5 cups a day.

    Good luck with fat smash- for me after I left phase 1 the weight loss stopped :(
