An Unlikely Partner
Well, my husband has joined me in the diet.. I’m so happy to have him join the effort because it would be harder without him. He loves junk food and truely has been my partner and food friend in getting us both overweight. That being said, he never put the food in my mouth.
So we’re going to go at this together. At first, I was not convinced that the Fat Smasher diet was the one for him, because there is no meat. But, at the same time, I didn’t want him to go on Atkins because I didn’t think it would be very good for his heart. He decided that because there are no limits on the fruits and vegetables, that he would do well.. for him portion control is the issue.
So for me I’m at day 8 and he’s on day 6. Both of us have seen some good results, which is great.. but its starting to wear on us. How many times can you eat bean salad? How exciting can vegetable stir fry be? We’re looking forward to adding a little lean meat into the plan. But, when we looked it up.. its only 5oz. That doesn’t seem like very much, but its better than nothing.
Also, the kids are not really enjoying our food.. so I have to make them alternative meals. So, if anyone is in the same predicament, I’d appreciate advice on managing two menus. Any ideas on what to feed the kids that also works into the diet plan. Or how to make two good nutritious meals with two totally different requirements… Thanks.
