Earlier this year it dawned on me that this year wasn’t going to be just another birthday. I will be turning 25. When I was 12, I planned out how my life would be. According to my somewhat foolish plan, I would have been an extremely successful lawyer in a NY lawfirm, have a stunning Manhattan apartment, be involved with a handsome rich man (I did warn you that it was foolish …). Of course, this plan included me being thin. Glamourously thin.
Today, I have one of my goals met. I did meet my handsome rich man. Well not so much rich but we’re getting there! But, I do love him and we have been madly in love for the last three years. Engage, too. In terms of location, well we have moved to his home country - Norway. Living in the beautifully expensive city of Oslo and are about to begin our new lives.
Last week I made a spreadsheet which was basically my weight loss chart with targets for each week. According to the chart, I have a little over 22 weeks till my 25th birthday and I will be be at my target weight - 60kg. The first week of my weight loss chart started out positively but I ended up consuming far too much “healthy food” and not going on any of my well planned calorie-burning morning jogs. So at the start of this week, I got on the scales and found out that I didn’t lose any weight but I had managed to gain a kilo!
So yesterday, I joined the local gym and I know I will stick to the gym plan because the membership fees are extremely expensive! I lost weight previously doing allot of cycling classes so I have decided to stick with what I know.
This is my plan for the next 22 weeks :
- Drink enough water.
- Eat healthy energy giving foods. Oats for breakfast. Fruit/nuts as a snack. Low fat light lunch & dinner. I will remember to eat with portions in mind. More importantly, that the size of my stomach organ is small so it is just cruel to stuff it with more food than my body needs.
- No sugar.
- Train everyday with at least a 45min cycling class.
The plan is simple. And I will simply stick to it. I have done it before and this time this will be a change that I will stick with for life.
Here’s to a good life!
Oslogirl xoxo
