Consistency not perfection is my motto for this year!
I spent the weekend really thinking about why I am continually starting and stopping my weight loss journey, and I’ve come to the realization it’s because I expect perfection from myself, so when I slip, I give up.  I’ve known this about myself for a long time, but I’ve never really worked on it.  Instead, I just tell myself that I’ll do better when I start again, and of course I have slip-ups and the cycle continues! So no more! I also need to find a way to stay on track when I am not feeling well.

My goals:
I am setting a goal of 10 lbs at a time.  I am going to reward myself for every 10 pounds I lose.
My plan:
Count my calories by logging my foods at
I am using the FitBit One which logs my activity and calories burned.  I have it set to sync with
I am reading Tom Venuto’s Burn the Fat Feed The Muscle and I am impressed.  I will be following his guidelines/suggestions.
Drink lots of water.
Eat until I am full, not stuffed

Exercise at least 5-6 days a week.
Be kind to myself!

I  will:
1. Not beat myself up for any slip-ups.
2. I will not stop journaling after a slip- up.
3. I will continue to exercise, even if I slip-up with my diet.
