My name is Nicole and I have finally decided that I do NOT want to be heavy ANYMORE! I have been over weight for as long as I can remember. When I was in highs school I weighed any where from 150 to 160 and I stayed that way until I got married in 2005. I was 21 and happy as can be and so, on came the pounds. We live in a small town (not super small, but not much to do either) and so, whenever we wanted to go out and do something it was always out to dinner or to the movies (snacks included). I also work in an office where I am allowed to eat whenever I want, so snack snack snack! In late 2008 we had our first child. When I gave birth I weighed 230lbs! I lost almost all the baby weight immediately and by January I was down to 200lbs. He is a blessing and so fun to watch. In January of 2009 I decided that I was not going to be an over weight mom and I was going to be a good example to my son. I lost 30lbs from Jan to June. I breastfed so that definitely helped me lose the pounds but I also stopped eating out, drinking soda, and making wise food choices-making my calories count! Well, all that was awesome and everything was going great until the end of May. My husband got laid off work, and due to poor money choices on out part, we had nothing in savings and were unable to make it on our own. My husbands wonderful parents allowed us to move in with them (we are still there) and, while its nice to not have to rush home after work and cook, I no longer make the food decisions in my home, it was easy to eat whatever was served, no matter how greasy or fattening. Also, whenever we want to get out and do something just us we end up back at restaurants, eating whatever looks appetizing. SO, here I am now, 14lbs heavier and TIRED of it. I weigh 185lbs and I am NOT okay with that! I will succeed at this.
