Day 21

In the past, I have not been able to chew sugarless gum. In the past two weeks, I have been able to enjoy it, but it all stopped yesterday. I chewed one piece in the early morning, then around 10:30. I had nothing on my stomach, and the gas built up and gave me horrible stomach pains. I was really sick until around 1:30 and threw up my orange and soy burger. I got better later, but was drained. Stuck to my diet except I did eat a tootsie roll pop instead of a fruit. I have also been spot bleeding (left over from my period last week, I guess). Baby was up and down last night, and this morning I weighed 137.6. I also drank one diet soda yesterday. This makes my total weight loss as of today 8 pounds. I know mentally that I should have lost, and to just be patient, it is probably water weight…but it still kind of sucks when you know how little you ate and it is going up instead of down. Just whining, I will be better tomorrow!

Day 20

Weighed 136.2 this morning-9.4 weight loss starting 1/1/12, and two of those days were loading days so my actual weight loss was done in 18 days! I am proud of myself and sticking to this insane diet. There is something to these drops, I am sure, b/c I am not feeling very hungry and I am very high energy most days.

My ultimate goal for my 4 ft 10 ” frame would be around 100 pounds. I think going lower than that would be unable to maintain. I will re-evaluate once I hit 115, b/c being the thinnest might not look the best b/c of being late 30s. It seems that it is a delicate balance for my body frame, b/c I am petite in some areas but very womanly and curvy-don’t want to sacrifice the face to get a skinnier frame!

Day 18

I weighed 137 today, which is .2 backwards. I didn’t cheat, so I am sure it is just water weight.

I am hungry this morning, but it usually settles down after a couple of cups of coffee with Stevia.

For those of you who are following this diet, it is not for the faint hearted!

Day 17 HCG diet

I have lost a total of 8.8! I weighed 136.8 this morning. The last two days I have cheated a little bit, but made sure my total calories were between 500-650. I spent a lazy weekend with family and instead of eating my fruits, I chose a couple of tootsie roll pops, and still lost!

I can’t wait to lose about another 10 pounds where I can fit into smaller size clothes.

Day 14

Thought I would post to say that as of this morning, I weighed 138.4, which is 7.2 pound loss! I am really excited and looking forward to trying on clothes the next 10 pounds, I will have clothes I have not worn inĀ  a long time fit!

Day 11

up a pound today, no reason-one of those yucky rainy days. Drank 2 diet cokes and chewed lots of sugarless gum. Hoping tomorrow is better.

Day 10 of HCG diet

So I have been following my diet faithfully as well as doing exercise. Yesterday I did 45 minute workout of Turbo Cardio party. I was up .4 yesterday but that was probably because I startedĀ  my period. I was also hungry yesterday, but still stuck to my diet by drinking lots of hot tea to stop hunger pains. I weighed 1 pound less this morning, so I am now at 139.4, which is 6.2 weight loss so far!

YEAH!

Day 8 of HCG diet

I started my period this morning, so I anticipated very little weight loss this morning. However…I was pleasantly surprised! I lost another .6, so total of 5.6 pounds! I am amazed at this diet…I am so tired of being overweight, I was ready for something drastic. I know that a very low calorie diet is not good long term, but the point of this diet is to go at it hard for 3-4 weeks, then maintain with the same types of foods, just larger portions. Basically after I am done with the VLCD, I will be eating lean meats and cheeses, most fruits and vegetables, and stay away from starches, sugars, or processed food. I have not been hungry at all because my body is eating correctly…just a tad boring. I miss my former “diet” staples of rice cakes, gum, and glass of wine. However, I know this is the best way.

Day 7-January 7, 2012

Weighed 140.6 today, which is a five pound loss since 1/1/12. I had coffee with Stevia, and lunch was eggwhites with 1 melba toast. I will probably have a little broccoli and strawberries for a snack, and tonight I will have a salad with Bragg’s dressing (1 TBSP). with 3 oz of chicken and melba toast. Bedtime snack will be an orange and cup of tea. I enjoy Saturdays because I can get cleaning and cooking done, spend time with family. Today I cooked up meals to last me awhile on this diet. The HCG diet protocol is as follows:

Day 1 and 2: loading days, eat whatever you want, take the drops

Day 3-37: take the drops and follow this 500 calorie diet:

Breakfast-coffee or tea sweetened with Stevia

Lunch-100 grams of lean protein, melba toast, and reasonable amount of the following vegetables: spinach, lettuce, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, onions, cabbage, asparagus; one of the following options for fruit-1/2 grapefruit, 1 orange or apple, or 6-9 strawberries

Dinner-repeat same for lunch

Lean meats are: chicken, 97% lean beef, seafood ( I don’t eat seafood). I use egg whites and vegetarian option of soy burger.

This is considered Phase 2, and Phase 3 I will discuss when I get closer to my end date.
