I looked into the C25K and Road Runners club. They seem reasonable and doable. The question is which one. The Roadrunners Fall/Winter training season begins in November and registration opens on Oct 1st. It is $40 for 21 weeks. That is so cheap. They have a fitness program which I would do instead of marathon training. I don’t know if I can commit to 21 Saturdays in a row. I guess that is nothing new. Once I pay if I don’t show up for a few sessions d/t schedule conflicts I’m thinking it doesn’t matter. I am leaning towards Road Runners because of my preference for outdoors. Also I would prefer to do this with others. I barely use my treadmill now. What will change? If I decide to do Road Runners we will see how long I actually stay committed to it. Sometimes my follow through is terrible.

You might want to check out your local running club and/or running stores for outdoor group runs; our club and both local running stores have runs several times throughout the week which include people at various ability levels for FREE…..

Thanks soclose. I will look into that. For right now I’ve decided to do the C25K program.
