My reward overnight date was SO worth the wait. DH and I had an amazing time…just as I hoped and imagined. Not a single thing went wrong and it was incredible one-on-one time for DH and I which is rare with three kids 9 and under. In addition to some other fun shopping, I was able to buy new undergarments that were needed for my unfortunate chest shrinkage. I have plenty left, so no tears were cried. LOL Seriously, I have gone down a cup size, so I needed new bras-not just to get the right size, but also to have more sports bras for my higher impact exercise times. It’s just a part of the journey. Not all the “bad” weight comes off where I want when I want, but it’ll all come off eventually if I keep at it. I’ll never have my 20 y/o body back, but I can have a great “32 y/o with 3 kids” body. That’s defintely a lesson learned lately. I weigh pretty much what I weighed at 20 (currnetly around 163), but it’s DEFINTELY NOT the same body! It keeps me moving forward though since I know there’s a good body waiting for me under this extra poundage.
I’m so excited! Tomorrow My DH and I are taking the kids to my parents’ and heading off to our overnight date that was my reward for reaching the “overweight” category on the BMI scale. We are getting a jacuzzi suite with champagne and chocolates (I’ll be good!) and going to a movie and shopping over the course of the 2 days. This is BY FAR the best “date” we’ve gone on in a VERY long time, and I think it will serve the purpose of keeping us connected also. I have THE BEST husband out there and we love each other very much, but it never hurts to have some quality time together to keep the fire burning! I can’t wait and I feel incredible being able to go out and get myself some new items that fit better. YAY!! I am so blessed to be able to share the experience with my incredible hubby too. WOW!
Okay, so due to some recent craziness in my life I was not online much for a couple months. LOTS has happened in the meantime, namely ME BECOMING “OVERWEIGHT”! YAY!!!! I am now 165.o and doing pretty well with keeping up my healthy lifestyle. I feel good and am excited to continue this journey. I have recently found the confidence to belive I can actually make it into the 150’s and byond. It seemed SO unattainable before now. It’s just been a long time since I’ve seen numbers like that on my scale! Well, I’ll try to do a post AT LEAST weekly to note progress, frustration, etc. Hope some will read and share the journey with me!
