Ups and downs
Well, I have certainly been experiencing the literal ups and downs of weight loss lately. I had trips over to visit family that added a couple pounds of unappreciated weight. I could justify it since they were birthdays and Valentines day special meals/events. I feel no guilt about it as they were planned “off plan” days. I am glad now that I have almost a month before another birthday comes along. I am back to my pre-visit weight and feel good about the exercise and eating routine at home. I have not mastered it away from home though. Especially eating at my parent’s house. How do you calculate those points/calories?! LOL My mom tries to be good when I’m there and talks about how she should get back on track, but it’s all lip-service. We still get full-fat cake and casseroles that I can’t calculate (they’re yummy though!). Oh well, I behave within reason. It’s just a learning process for me every time. I would like to get another few pounds off and then I’ll feel even better about the efforts I’m putting in now. My goal is STILL to get to my first 10%. I plateaued at 179.4 for a week then went off plan two different weekends resulting in me STILL being at 179.4. I think my scale is stuck there! Tomorrow will be the day for sure or someone may see a flying scale. hee hee
