Weekend Warrior

Hmm I can’t believe that I have not been on here in 3 whole days!

It was overall a successful weekend.  Saturday we got out of the house and went on that hike I found.  It was great and we went even further then we intended.  When all was said and done I think we walked approx 6 miles.  It was such a lovely (rare) Northwest day for this time of the year, I almost felt like the sun came out just for us :)

Food was not bad (but not great) this weekend.  I’ve been eating Special K for breakfast almost everday and I ran out of skim milk so I had to use Whole.    Saturday I made a lite Chicken Pasta using Whole wheat spaghetti noodles, fresh tomatoes, basil, onion, garlic, and a little bit of Olive oil-Yum!  I did get a craving for something sweet and made some homemade Apple Crisp & served it up with some non-fat frozen yogurt.  Yesterday my friend and I were supposed to go to brunch @ the Tulalip Casino.  I was actually planning on cheating and having some bacon & eggs but our plans fell through and we ended up just going to see “He’s Just Not That Into You”  and I didn’t buy any junk food.

last night I made some Apple-Almond Rice stuffed Pork Chops (no I didn’t make them-I got them at the meat department) w/ plain boiled asparagus.  I only have half the chop and brought the other half in for lunch today.

Still feeling kinda in the dumps-though taking care of myself has been helping.  I enjoyed the hike so much that I am going to find another trail to tackle this weekend

Just Off

Yesterday after the pizza incident I also ate a PB&J sandwhich (No flour bread) and a handful of triscuits.  This morning I had two pieces of homemade Banana bread that was brought into the office.  Now my friend/co-worker is talking about hamburgers and deep fried mushrooms( no I am not going, but I WANT TO!) I brought a much more satisfying lunch and plan and up-ing the water intake.

It’s so weird how just one little slip totally changes everything.  I was OP and feeling good and in one moment of weakness I feel like I have taken 3 steps backwards.

I found a great little day hike in my area that 2.75 miles each way.  I think I will plan on doing that tomorrow with my Dog and see if the BF wants to go. He never wants to do anything or leave the house :(  It would be a nice little day adventure for us, so hopefully he will go.
