So, four days ago I got Wii Fit! Now, what I want to know is, what’s better… the Wii Fit scale, or my home scale? My home scale says I’m about 4-5 pounds heavier. It also said my dad was overweight… he’s not. Is that my answer right there? Whichever, it said I’m not overweight, and according to everything I’ve heard on the internet and what I look at in the mirror everyday, I AM. And according to my scale just now, I think I’ve gained weight, not lost it. SUCKS! Oh, according to my funky pedometer today, I’ve walked approximately 4,000 steps. THAT SUCKS TOO!

Today is one of the two days I work this week. Seems my job is liquidating and they’re not telling us. sucks. BUT! I will be getting in more than the required 10,000 steps tonight!
I accidentally threw my handy-dandy new pocket pedometer in the wash the other day and it came out totally crapped up. So it’s back to the old school kind. Unless a brand new battery does the trick for the new one. I don’t know. It just seemed so much more accurate. I don’t exactly like the old school kind because they stick out and everyone knows your wearing one, and because they don’t seem to be that accurate. Is that anyone else’s experience?

Sorry I haven’t been updating my pages or writing on the boards, but there really hasn’t been much to say. My weight has been plateau-ing, which sucks, and I have to look for a new job. You see, I think my company is liquidating and they’re not telling us. They’ve put everyone on two days a week, or some people even one day a week, and that’s just not enough to get along. So, I have to look for a new job. I mean, I was only part-time to begin with, but at least I was 5 days a week, not two. And it took me a long time to get this job in the first place so I’m really bummed out.
I *still* have a lingering cough from that cold/bronchitis that I had so long ago. It just won’t go away! What’s it been, a month now? And I’ve been to the doctor for this kind of cough before and they always recommend the same medicine, so that’s what I’m taking. It was really annoying to have to go to the dentist with this stupid cough. Probably really annoying for the dentist too! Oh, and I’m such a baby with the novacaine (sp?) I had to close my eyes and stuff! I’m just not good with pain I guess:) The dentist was really nice to me though! The only thing that really stung was my wallet! Can you believe that he wasn’t covered by Medicare or Medicaid? It cost me $300 out of pocket!:( It had cost me $230 the week before for a cleaning and examination! Insane! He’s been my dentist since I was a little kid.
Anyway, I’ll end my post now and try to write more often. It’ll be shorter so you’re not overwhelmed. Oh yay! my nieces and my twin just arrived! Time for fun!

Hello Everyone,
First I want to say thank you to everyone for your tips. Slowly I am figuring things out! Also, It has been over a week that I have been sick with a cold and bronchitis :( How can I exercise when I feel so damned crappy? I’m trying to keep up with things, but this horrible cough just wipes me out. I tried to get a Wii Fit today, but I was too late. They were all taken. Try again next weekend I guess.
As for my weight, I’m still holding at 150.5 lbs exactly, which sucks. One good piece of news, in two weeks (give or take) my parents are going on a week-long vacation! Will be nice!

I have been such a slacker! I haven’t been keeping track of my Thursday weekly weigh-ins! Lately it’s been because I’ve been upset over slight weight gain due to my mom’s not cooking healthy meals ( before that I had gone on this crazy fast… bad idea, but lost a lot of weight.) On Thursday, my weigh-in day, I weighed something like 152.0 lbs. TODAY, and I don’t know how I did it, I weigh 150.5 lbs, which puts me back down to my recent low weight. I can’t wait to see something like 149 or 148… is that too much to ask? I just wish my mom would get on the “healthy” bandwagon. My dad has gone “healthy” crazy. I mean it. He’s taken it too far. You can see it in his eyes…
Also, I need some tips on how to make this blog better. I have two questions too… if you write a blog and “save and continue editing”, where does it save it? I did that and then lost the blog somehow, and couldn’t find any way to retrieve it. I imagine it must be saved somewhere… I did click the “save and continue editing” button. My other question is, how do you put a photo in your blog? come to think of it, that’s how I lost the blog I was writing. I clicked the little photo icon to put a photo in there, and it erased all my typing. I couldn’t get it back. Is it possible to put a picture and get typing in your blog? Just a thought.
Now I’ll browse all of your blogs for some ideas. Who knows, maybe it’ll answer some of my questions. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Welcome to my new diet blog! This is the first one I am writing. You might want to check back from time to time as I will be changing the blog and seeing what I can do with it! Exciting! Right now I am really struggling with my weight (gosh darn it! it just won’t go DOWN!) and fighting with what my dietitian wants me to do. It seems so counterproductive. So I thought I’d start this blog! Thursday is my “official” weigh in day so I’ll be at least posting once a week, if not more. What I’d really like is some advice on how to break a plateau…. and don’t tell me to eat less, that’s already been tried!
