January 25th Exercise

I did this exercise video On Demand called Cardioke.  It was intense I thought it was going to be easy because its doing old dance moves and you have to sing, but that was hard.  I lasted the whole video which was 25 minutes, I feel good.

Exercising

I have to admit exercising is not really my favorite thing.  But I plan to devote at least 20 minutes to getting my heart rate up and burning some calories.  When winter is finally over, I will take my daughter to the park (I have only ever taken her twice) and we will get out and enjoy ourselves.  Right now I’ve been doing walking workouts from Leslie Sansone but I do feel that I need to be getting more activity, but at 425 pounds there isn’t much I can do.  I will commit to myself to raise my activity level the more weight I lose and the easier it gets to move.  When I first started and weighed almost 450 pounds I couldn’t walk.  When I went to the grocery store I had to roll around in one of those scooters.  I am thankful that I now have mobility but I know I will be able to do much more.  I was 350 in highschool and was on the basketball team and tennis team so I know I can still be overweight and active I just need to lose some more weight before I can really get to moving.

Unexpected Inspiration

So I was flipping through On Demand looking for something to watch.  And they showed a preview for this show called Ruby on the style network channel.  They were showing a woman who is trying to lose weight and weighed almost 500 pounds.  And I was surprised that the style network was doing a show like this.  So I checked the show out and sure enough it’s about a southern woman that’s lost 90 pounds and I just got so much inspiration from watching a couple episodes and its what fueled me to get back to eating right and to lose this weight.  I feel like if there are people that can reach their goals there’s no reason I can’t reach my goals.  Everything that she experiences I go through and I think its good that this show is on.  So I’m back because of something so unexpected but now its time for me to inspire myself in order to keep moving.   

I’m back on the wagon

I started back to eating correctly on Friday the 23rd.  Before this I thought I was eating right but I couldn’t manage to lose anyting.  I thought eaten lean cuisine and healthy choice meals was all I needed to do and that would work for me.  I came to realize that I need to eat fruits and vegetables and to try eat as natural as possible.  Those frozen meals have a lot of sodium in them and I was going over the recommeded amount of sodium.  When I started eating mostly natural foods and limiting the amount of meat I eat and started exercising I was happy to see today, that I’d lost 3 pounds.
