I am going to make this post short because I just need to get some things out there:
Yesterday I was tired from the weekend…I did a great job not eating any junk before lunch, had my great inspired post, then got back from my lunch time workout and had a sandwich on white (white!) bread and 2/3 of a chocolate bar. For no reason! I wasn’t even bored, just tired. Then we went to dinner where I wasn’t that hungry and had two (TWO!) pieces of sourdough bread (it wasn’t even that great, home is better), my entire lobster ceasar salad that had WAY too much dressing and an entire peach cobbler dessert. None of it was necessary, now I (still) feel full and gross. NOT MY BEST LIFE. lol. It’s a little funny. I am trying to see humor in it, because now I am going to be on diet LOCKDOWN for the rest of the week as I try to navigate all these farewell lunches/dinners/happy hours while trying to lose the 5 pounds I put on over the past three days. pls wish me luck, i’m going to need it!
xoxo M

good luck !! you can do it, just really think about what you are about to eat…before you eat it…ask yourself “is it really worth it?”

just a note…sourdough bread is actually good for you. The acid in it keeps it low on the glycemic index which means that it doesn’t cause a spike in blood sugar. (Blood sugar spikes will typically cause cravings and hunger when your blood sugar drops back down.) Enjoy your sourdough, and bonus, according to the South Beach diet, it actually helps to add a little butter to it.
